What is Dwell?

Dwell Differently is a monthly scripture memory membership. Our monthly scripture designs help members memorize one verse each month with the help of temporary tattoos, an art print, and key tag.

How does a Dwell membership work?

Once you join, we send you a Dwell kit featuring a new scripture verse and design to memorize and meditate on for the month.

  1. Start with a verse.
  2. Each letter in the design represents the first letter of each word in the verse.
  3. See it. Recall it. Repeat it.

What are the perks of being a member?

Dwell members receive a new Dwell kit each month, allowing them to get into a rhythm of memorizing and meditating on God’s word. Members also receive a digital kit with a printable coloring page and lock screens and backgrounds for their phones, computers, and apple watches. In addition to your Dwell kit, members have access to the Dwell community through social media (@dwelldifferently) and receive weekly encouragement in their inbox and through our podcast, Dwell Differently. 

What's in my package each month?

Each type of membership is customized to fit the needs of our members:

  • Individual Membership: one verse card, one key tag, and three temporary tattoos.
  • Friends & Family Membership: one verse card, two key tags, and nine temporary tattoos (perfect for sharing with 2-3 people).  
  • Group Membership: one verse card, key tag and three tattoos for each group member. Quantities start at 8 members and go up to 100. For groups larger than 100, please contact our customer service department at dwell@dwelldifferently for special pricing.

All members also receive a digital kit with a printable coloring page and lock screens and backgrounds for their phones, computers, and apple watches.

How much does everything cost?

Monthly memberships start at $8 a month.You can upgrade your membership to friends and family or even the group membership which will increase the monthly price.  

How do I join?

You can click here to join, or select “Memberships” in the menu bar.  

I want to send someone a Dwell membership but I already have my own membership. Can I subscribe twice?

Yes, when you are going through the join process you can choose how many membership kits you want each month. If the kits are going to two different addresses you’ll want to check out each membership separately. You can use the same email address and billing address each time but change the shipping address for each membership you purchase.  

When can I expect my first shipment of Dwell?

Your package arrives in the first week of the month following your purchase date. For example, if you signed up in February, your first order would arrive with March’s verse on March 1, or within the first few days of March. Once your Dwell membership has shipped you will receive an email letting you know it’s in the mail and on the way.

Are your kits only available through monthly membership?

Yes, we only offer our Dwell verses as part of a membership. All memberships are month-to-month, so you can cancel at any time.

Can I try just one month?

We don't sell Dwell kits outside of a membership, but all memberships are month-to-month and can be cancelled at any time.

What Bible translation do you use?

All Dwell kits use the NIV translation of the Bible.

MY SUBSCRIPTION

Can I change my email address?

Yes, you can log into your account and edit your email under "account settings." You must have activated your account at the time of sign up to be able to make changes online. If you missed this step, email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com and we can resend your account activation link.

Can I customize my shipment?

All members receive the same verse each month. You can choose between our individual, friends and family or our group membership. You can also visit our Members Shop to purchase additional products that will ship at the time of purchase.

Can I have multiple Dwell memberships under one account?

Yes, you can have more than one membership on your account. This works great if you want to ship to more than one address. You’ll need to check out separately for each shipping address.  

Which Dwell subscription is right for me?

The individual membership contains one verse card and key tag along with three temporary tattoos. The friends and family membership includes one verse card, two key tags and nine temporary tattoos (perfect for sharing with 2-3 people). The group membership includes a verse card, key tag and three tattoos for each group member and starts at a quantity of eight members.

All members also receive a digital kit with a printable coloring page and lock screens and backgrounds for their phones, computers, and apple watches.

Help! I forgot my email.

No worries! Email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com with your name and address and we will be able to help you out.

How do I change my address?

You can update your address by logging into your account and clicking "edit" under "shipping address." Your address needs to be updated by the 15th of the month to guarantee your next shipment is delivered to the updated address. You must have activated your account at the time of sign up to be able to make changes online.  If you missed this step, email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com and we can resend your account activation link.

How can I reactivate my account?

You can reactivate your membership any time by logging back into your account and clicking "reactivate" under "your memberships." You must have activated your account at the time of sign up to be able to make changes online.  If you missed this step, email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com and we can resend your account activation link.

Help! I forgot my password.

No worries! Click "forgot your password" where you normally log in. Just enter your email address and we will send instructions to reset your password. You must have activated your account at the time of sign up to be able to make changes online.  If you missed this step, email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com and we can resend your account activation link.

How can I update/change my membership?

You can easily update your membership by logging into your account and clicking "edit" under "your memberships." Please be sure to hit "confirm" on the bottom of the second page after the popup to ensure your preferences are updated. You will always receive an email confirming your changes.

If you are updating your subscription AFTER the 15th of the month you will receive one more shipment with your current preferences. Your changes will go into effect following your next renewal.

Help! I received the wrong membership kit.

We are so sorry you received the incorrect kit. Please email us right away at dwell@dwelldifferently.com so we can get your order corrected!

Can I return my order?

We don't offer returns. If there is a problem with your membership or you are unhappy please email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com so we can get you taken care of!

Help! My membership arrived damaged.

We are so sorry your membership arrived damaged! Please email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com so we can get a replacement shipped out right away.

Help! When I try to log in I get the message “invalid email address.” What do I do now?

This error message means you never officially activated your online account at the time of signing up for your membership. Please email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com and we can resend your activation link to get you into your account.  

THE TATTOOS

How do I apply my tattoo?

Temporary tattoos are easy to apply; all you need is water and a wet cloth. Your skin should be clean, dry, and free of lotion, oils, and makeup.

  1. Remove the clear, protective top sheet.
  2. Press the tattoo firmly onto your skin with the design side facing down.
  3. Firmly press a wet cloth against the back of the tattoo, making sure to wet the paper thoroughly. Continue to hold for 30 seconds.
  4. Slowly peel off the paper backing.
  5. Gently rinse the image with cold water, and allow the temporary tattoo to dry before touching or covering with clothes.

What is the best place to put my tattoo? 

We recommend placing your tattoo in a smooth, hair-free area of skin (such as your wrist or forearm) that doesn’t crease or stretch when you move.

How long should I expect my tattoos to last?

Dwell temporary tattoos last about 3 days. Here are a few tips for extending the life of your tattoo:

- Choose a smooth, hair-free area of skin (such as your wrist or forearm) that doesn’t crease or stretch when you move.

- Make sure your skin is dry and free of oil, lotion, and makeup.

- Avoid clothing or jewelry that will rub the tattoo.

- Temporary tattoos can be easily removed with a bit of rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer, or baby oil.

Can I buy verses from previous months?

Yes, if we have extra inventory we put them in our Members Shop for our members to purchase.

What type of verses might I receive?

Members can purchase past Dwell kits that we have in stock and available at the time.  

Am I able to choose the verse I receive?

Monthly memberships arrive with the monthly verse at that time. If you are purchasing past inventory you will be able to select your verses that we have available in the Members Shop.  

I lost a verse from a previous month, can I get a replacement?

Email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com and we’ll attempt to get you taken care of if we have that month in stock.

Is there a cut off for signing up for a membership?

New members receive their first shipment the first week of the month following their purchase date. As long as your order is placed before the end of the month, you can expect the next month’s verse.

GROUP BOXES

I got my group box. What do I do now?

Once your group box arrives you’ll have everything you need to facilitate a small group with the monthly verse. Group boxes come with a verse card, key tag and three tattoos for each member and a discussion guide focused on the scripture that month.

My group doesn’t fit the group box size. What should I do?

We offer group boxes in group sizes of 8, 16, 33, 66 and 100. We are unable to customize sizes of the group box beyond these set quantities to keep fulfillment manageable. We encourage you to order the larger quantity box and ask more friends to join your group!

When will my group box arrive?

Group boxes arrive at the first of each month. If your group box has not arrived by the 5th of the new month email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com and we can resend your box.

If I select black and white tattoos for my group box, what’s the ratio of black to white tattoos included?

If you order a group box and select both black and white tattoos then you will receive half black tattoos and half white tattoos. We are not able to accommodate any changes on that ratio at this time.

Can I customize my group box?

In order to efficiently deliver your group boxes month and after month we are unable to offer any extra customization outside of the set group sizes and a choice of all black tattoos, all white tattoos or a blend of black and white tattoos.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

Where's my package?

Once your Dwell package ships you will receive an email confirming it’s on the way. It can take around 7 business days before it arrives for domestic shipments. If your monthly membership has not arrived by the 5th of the new month, email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com to let us know and we’ll send a replacement.

When will my membership ship?

Dwell memberships ship on the 25th of the month so that your Dwell arrives right around the 1st of the new month. You’ll receive an email from us once it’s in the mail and on the way. 

How do I track my order?

If you have a group membership or have ordered an exclusive Dwell product from the Members Shop you can reach out to customer service for tracking numbers on your order. Individual and friends and family monthly memberships do not have tracking provided in an effort to keep shipping costs as low as possible for our members. If your Dwell membership doesn’t arrive by the 5th of the new month email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com so we can send a replacement shipment.

Can I get my monthly shipment sooner?

We send all monthly shipments at the same time each month. If you want Dwell sooner, you can visit our Members Shop and purchase previous month's verses and they will be sent right away.

My tracking hasn't updated. What do I do?

Packages can take up to 7 business days to be delivered. It's completely normal for a package to go a few days without an update to the tracking. If it's been longer than 7 business days, please reach out to us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com  so we can help.

My package was marked delivered, but I didn't receive it.

We see a lot of packages show up a day or two after it's been marked delivered. Please give it a few more days and if it doesn't show up, email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com so we can help.

Do you ship internationally?

We do not offer international shipping at this time.

When will my exclusive Dwell products ship?

Dwell products purchased in the Members Shop will ship the Tuesday after purchase.  

How do orders ship?

We ship through USPS for all orders. Monthly memberships are sent via first class mail and gifts and accessories, along with group boxes are sent via USPS Parcel Ground Select or sometimes through USPS Priority Mail depending on weight and delivery destination.

How much is shipping each month?

Shipping is included in your monthly membership cost and is at no additional charge.  

BILLING

What types of payments do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards. Unfortunately we do not accept any third party payment providers like PayPal at this time.

When will I be charged?

When you join Dwell, your card will be charged on that day. Every order following your first order will be processed on the 15th of the month. For example, if you sign up on March 22nd, your card will be charged again on April 15th. If you sign up on March 2nd, you will be charged again on April 15th. If you join Dwell's year long membership, your membership will be renewed on the 15th of the anniversary month in which you signed up. So, if you signed up on March 22, 2019, you will be charged again on March 15, 2020.

How do I update my billing information?

You can update your payment info anytime by logging into your account, clicking "edit" under credit card, replacing your existing information, and clicking save. You must have activated your account at the time of sign up to be able to make changes online.  If you missed this step, email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com and we can resend your account activation link.

I updated my billing information after the regular billing date. When will I receive my package?

If you update your billing information before the end of the month, you will receive the coming month's verse.

Can I change my monthly billing date?

No, every renewal happens on the 15th of each month.

I received an email that you weren't able to process my payment. What do I do?

This means your payment did not go through and your membership was unable to renew. To fix this problem you need to log into your account and update your billing information. If you continue to receive the email after your payment information is updated, please email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com so we can help.

Can I remove a saved payment method?

You can only remove your payment method after your membership has been canceled. If you need help removing your payment method while your membership is active please email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com.

CANCELATIONS

How do I cancel my Membership?

You can cancel your membership any time by logging into your account and clicking "edit" under your memberships. Scroll to the bottom and you select "cancel membership." Please be sure to hit "confirm" on the bottom of the second page after the popup to ensure your membership is cancelled. You will always receive an email confirming your changes.

What is your cancellation policy?

All of our memberships are month-to-month and can be canceled at any time. You must cancel before the 15th of the month to not receive the following shipment. If you cancel on or after the 15th you will receive one more shipment.

Can I skip monthly shipments?

You can skip monthly shipments any time by logging into your account and clicking “manage upcoming orders” and selecting “skip,” to pause your membership for that upcoming month. You must have activated your account at the time of sign up to be able to make changes online. If you missed this step, email us at dwell@dwelldifferently.com and we can resend your account activation link.
