Ever hear heaven called pie in the sky? Meaning it’s a wonderful concept, but an unlikely reality, and people really should just focus on what we can know for certain. God's word, however, calls people to dwell on that perfectly good and just place in order to inspire similar realities here and now. A deep longing for the beautiful perfection of a real and actual heaven compels us to work towards those heavenly realities now.

Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ  -Philippians 3:20
