Dear Dwell followers,
It is with a heart full of gratitude that I sit down to write this letter to you. God is big, and he has shown up to do amazing things in this journey we are on together. Almost exactly one year ago, I started Dwell as a means to creatively and beautifully memorize God’s word. In the time since, I have been floored by the way God has worked in your lives and mine through Dwell. I feel so privileged and humbled to hear your comments, like:
“Dwell is SAVING me.”
"I’ve shared my faith with my my co-workers of seven years more in the last year than I had in the previous 6 years combined thanks to Dwell.”
“Dwell is the only way I can memorize scripture… [it’s] such a great opportunity to share my faith. When people ask what the tattoo means, or when they see me looking at the keychains it’s such a great way to share Jesus!”
“Mom, my teacher loved my tattoo, and she wants one too!”
“My children love Dwell (even my littlest one), and I love the opportunity to have an ongoing conversation with them about who God is and what he is doing in our lives.”
“I already have it memorized. It’s been one hour!”
In all of our lives, all of our spheres, God is with us. I see you, and I’m so encouraged to hear how you are letting “the word of Christ dwell in your richly” (Col.3:16). On top of that, God’s word is not just changing your life, but it’s overflowing into the world, making a difference in the hearts and lives of your family, friends, and coworkers. The outpouring of folks running to God and sharing God with others has blown me away. But, like I said, God is big, and he has big plans for us.
This coming year I can’t wait to see how God will continue to show up and change all of us from the inside out. Thanks for letting Dwell be on the journey with you. Thank you for trusting Dwell. It is a privilege to walk alongside you in your relationship with God. I always felt that if just ONE person was inched closer to God by Dwell, then it was worth every effort.
Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your lives,
Vera Schmitz, Dwell Founder
