Do you have a thankful heart?

I know this is not an easy thing for many of us. We don't just wake up in the morning gushing gratitude over all of the mundane expected blessings of the day. We don't rhapsodize over the smell of our breakfast cooking, the comfort of our shoes, or the loveliness of our ever-changing sky. But, shouldn't we? Shouldn't we find reasons to be thankful in every circumstance that we face? In Christ, we can take the long view of life, knowing that God has everything in control. So even when the road gets bumpy, we can still appreciate being along for the ride.

What little luxuries can you thank God for right now?

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
