"For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." — Psalm 100:5
My family has a Thanksgiving tradition that I truly love. At some point during the meal, we go around the table and share one thing we’re thankful for. It's beautiful to hear all the people from the smallest to the gray-est give their testimony of gratitude. Answers range from simple pleasures to short, fun stories to tearful expressions of thanks. I do love our tradition, but this year, I want to add a new twist.
I want to root our gratitude in Scripture, specifically in Psalm 100.
If you’ve been following along this month, then you know that Psalm 100 is an expression of joyful thanks—the perfect Scripture passage to read together at Thanksgiving. I’m excited to try this simple twist on our beloved tradition. I wonder if you’d like to try it too? You can read it below. And here’s the fun part: Vera created a pretty printable for you to pass out or put on people’s plates. Or simply take a few minutes to journal through the prompts by yourself. However you use it, even just reading it now, may it bless you. And ultimately, may the gratitude of all our hearts bless our one and only Blessing-giver.
